Skeet Shooting: American and International Skeet Formats
There are two skeet fields available for normal daily shooting. These fields use push-button controls to activate target throwers so at least two people are required to shoot skeet.
Skeet Field #1 is typically set-up for American skeet while Skeet Field #2 is set up for International skeet. However, for NSSA, International, and club skeet shoots - both are typically reconfigured to be the same so more shooters can compete. This means that these skeet fields are not available to other shooters not registered in the competition shoot.
Drop-in American skeet shooting (Skeet Field #1) (i.e. when multiple skeet shooters gather) is scheduled for Wed. and Fri., at noon - interested shooters can and should attend these sessions during the week as it provides a second person to activate the targets. Skeet shooting is also open on the weekends during open range hours.
Please report and sign in at the LRGC office prior to shooting. A membership (annual or day/drop-in) is required to shoot all outdoor shotgun activities. Purchased tokens are required to use the skeet fields. A signed "Shooters Agreement" form is required prior to shooting on any range.
